The Areas Only Obedience Club Holding “AKC” Sanctioned Events.
The Allentown Dog Training Club was established in 1953 and is a Non-Profit Club. Since that date, many of the Lehigh Valley residents have enjoyed the classes, instruction and comraderie offered by our Club. We hold an AKC Sanctioned Obedience and Rally Trial and a Match Show each year. We offer classes in Puppy Kindergarten, Obedience, and Rally for the general public, to promote better family companions . These classes are held throughout the year in the greater Allentown area.
Our instructors are Club members with years of experience in training dogs to be better citizens and to compete in the various shows. Our members participate in Public demonstrations to schools, nursing homes, etc., and are involved in activities such as Obedience, Rally, Agility, Herding, Tracking, Field Trials, Therapy Dogs, and Breed Clubs for Confirmation.
We donate annually to humane societies, service & rescue dogs, Veterinarian teaching hospitals, libraries, canine legislation, police K-9 units and various disaster relief funds, and are a member of the Pennsylvania Federation of Dog Clubs. Although we are a registered AKC Club, mixed breeds are welcome.
From Beginner to Advance, there is something for every dog and trainer team to enjoy.
